David Horváth works in the realm of self-portraits, landscapes, and the human figure, primarily created in oil technique and in small to medium formats, structurally influenced by the impressionistic as well as the divisionistic brushstroke manière, where the main attempt is the reproduction of the light and its effects. Most of his work are shrouded in warm light, sometimes associated with the golden light of sunset. The chromaticism and the rendering of recognizable faces on the canvases are interspersed with drawings that sketch the artist's entourage caught in different places.
