Alina Chaiderov’s exhibition "Transition" within Tiziana Di Caro Gallery, brings together a series of photographs and one sculpture, exploring the connection between these two mediums. This relationship is at the heart of Chaiderov's research, as she investigates memory, materiality, and the presence of the body. By blurring the line between image and object, Chaiderov approaches photography as part of her sculptural process, creating works that encourage a physical and immersive experience. Often inspired by her own life, the artist gives her works a sense of personal history, making them feel almost alive. On the floor lies "Transition" (2024), a sculpture made from a wooden hat/wig block covered in copper leaf, placed on a folded hospital blanket. This arrangement evokes themes of identity, transformation, and remembrance, while allowing space for personal interpretation.
